Log Gap Cap

For years I've been looking for ways to fill the gaps between my logs and window trim. Everything from Bats to Wasps have used this vacant space. Up to this point I've used spray foam insulation. But the spray foam deteriorates over time and wasp and bees can, and will, drill through the foam. These log gap caps are the solution! They fit perfectly. They fit tightly on my cabin and fill the gaps. After inserting I then follow up with Energy Seal to complete the job. Note, the instructions say that these UV rays will deteriorate the foam in short order if they are left exposed to sunlight. Now my windows and doors are protected from insects, water infiltration and wind. They come in boxes of 50. I'm in the process of ordering more boxes so that I can do the whole cabin.

We used the large size Log Gap Caps when we were sealing our new log cabin last fall. We have round lodgepole pine logs, so I saw these and just knew they would work for us.We pushed them in around the windows and then used the Energy Seal caulk to seal over them. So easy to use and they worked perfect on our log cabin!

A truly amazing product, I wish these had been around when I built my first log home. These form the perfect backing for the log chinking when working around window and door casements. I won't build another home without them!
